Fatoumata Traoré is a fish seller and entrepreneur in Konna, Mali. She started a small fish selling business on her own and now she has more than twelve employees and a loyal customer base. She did it all with the help of microfinance projects from the Near East Foundation, based in Sévaré. She uses small loans to acquire equipment when she needs to expand, then pays it back and repeats. Her fish are sold all over the West African country.
