Rania loves her songbirds. She loves to take care of them, to put on their favorite music, to clean their cages. It was natural for her when the opportunity to start home-run business arose, she chose to sell songbirds. Rania needed to increase her income. Her family has fallen on hard times: Her husband is ill, her home is caving in, and her landlord wants her out soon. With the help of NEF and the US State Department’s Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration, her songbirds may be the ticket to her flight from poverty.
