Bigen Hovhannesyan saw a need in his community. He lives in Bagratshen, Armenia. He saw an information technology center, but saw it was badly run and not well kept. So he opened his own to give the people of Bagratshen more access to computer services and the Internet. With microfinancing from the Near East Foundation and Business Paretta, along with business training from the Gegharkunik Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Gavar, his IT Center has new computers, high speed Internet access and is expanding its operation to include computer sales and services.
