Hama and Moctar are rice farmers in Sobbo, a village in Northern Mali. They decided they could augment their food and income by adding a fish farm to the land on which they normally grow rice. They consulted the Near East Foundation for their expertise and with the help of NEF, Nayral Microcredit Bank, Amd their own hard work, they’ve developed a sustainable fish farm, improved their rice yields, and developed the local infrastructure.
