Hayat and Hanan were struggling to make a living selling clothes, a market that was becoming increasingly competitive. Both sought help from their local NEF Siraj Center, to better provide for their families. With training, technical support, and small financial grants they pivoted their businesses to a small home grocery store and a cheese shop.
They are two of more than 2,000 entrepreneurs we have served through our work with the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM) and local partners in Lebanon, to build resilience among Syrian refugees and vulnerable Lebanese.
Hear from Hayat and Hanan about their new businesses and the transformative experience of business success.
