Mustafa and his family – his mother, father, brother, and disabled sister – all fled Iraq nearly a year and a half since this video was first produced. As refugees in Zarqa, Jordan, they are unable to work in the country. Mustafa’s father, a metalwork artisan, finds it difficult to provide for them. Now that Mustafa has come of age, he has taken up the family trade. With the help of NEF and the US State Department’s Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration, Mustafa is learning computer skills and business management skills on top of his metal work so he can contribute to the family’s well being until they can be resettled in a permanent home.
