Thanks to training from Near East Foundation, Zahra’s business has made a remarkable leap forward. After attending a comprehensive financial literacy program, she was inspired to shift her agency’s transactions from cash to e-payments.
This transformation didn’t just modernize her operations—it empowered her to manage finances more efficiently, reduce risks, and provide better services to her clients.
Zahra’s story is a testament to the power of education and innovation. By embracing digital payments, she’s not only enhancing her business but also contributing to the broader movement toward financial inclusion.
Near East Foundation’s latest project in Iraq, Financial Literacy Support for MSMEs, was funded by the German Government and implemented by GIZ Iraq in partnership with NEF. It provided training to 1,900 entrepreneurs in the Basra and Anbar governorates, with 80% of participants being women.
